What is a Dedicated Server?

A dedicated server is a type of website hosting in which the client leases/purchases an entire website hosting server that is not shared with anyone. Some of the Best Bricklayers in Maidstone  use a Dedicated Server for their hosting to ensure speed and security for their visitors.

A dedicated server allows more flexibility than a shared server, because the client has full control over the server(s), which includes choice of operating system, software, hardware, etc.

A dedicated server can be controlled from a remote location to allow for software upgrades, file transfers, etc.

Dedicated servers are normally housed in data centers, providing redundant power sources and HVAC systems.

In regards to a dedicated server, the  hardware is owned by the provider and in some cases they will provide support for your operating system or applications.

A majority of website hosting providers do not allow IRC (bots, clients or daemons). This is due to rogue IRC users triggering DDoS attacks against the provider, which may overwhelm their networks, lowering service quality for all customers. -- This is something to look for within the companies terms of service, if you are interested in using the server for this reason.

Adult content tends to be disallowed by many providers as it may either be of questionable legality or consume large amounts of bandwidth. Although, if you have an agreement with the hosting company; you should be ok.

Copyrighted material of which you do not own the copyright to, is also against the terms of service of most hosting companies.

A dedicated hosting solution better meets the needs of a large business for several reasons. The client can customize the hardware setup as well as the software to meet exact needs. Data access is faster and high traffic is easily accommodated.
